Surrender
If you have found yourself in a position that you can no longer keep your beloved pet / family member we do assist in rehoming.
Some Basic Points to Note:
- We do NOT guarantee a new home will be found.
- We ask you to continue to care for your pet, until a new home is found.
- We do not charge you for the assistance provided.
- We do not pay you for the dog, the dog is to be surrendered at no cost.
- You can still try and rehome the dog yourself, please notify us should you succeed.
- At all times please remember, we are volunteers and most of us work full time as well.
What we do:
- We advertise as we see fit by the following means: Our website, Pet Rescue website, Winter Paws website, Facebook Group & Electronic News Letters.
- We place all dogs once surrendered, through our vet for a health check, Vaccinations, Microchipping & Sterilization - (This is at our cost).
- We conduct fence checks on the prospective new owners.
- Arrange for transport and introduction with new owners and their existing animals.
- We charge new owners a fee of $350.00 to cover our vet bills and other associated costs.
What you need to do:
- Download and Complete the "Intent to Surrender a Dog" form from the Link below.
- Once completed email to: admin@huskyrescuewa.com with a current photo, but please note, without a picture our chance of rehoming is very limited.
- Advise us immediately if you find an alternative home.
